Experience

Mia Syn, MS, RDN, is a Verywell Fit Medical Reviewer, a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, and a television host.  She reviews nutrition and health content for the brand. As one of the most trusted and recognized young dietitians in the country, Mia has helped thousands of clients and readers lose weight, improve their health, and develop sustainable eating habits for life. She is the author of Mostly Plant-Based, a cookbook that features healthy recipes with no more than 10 ingredients.

Mia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science, Physiology, and Metabolism from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed over 1,200 hours of supervised practice in clinical nutrition at the Medical University of South Carolina before earning her Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
